The Ellesmere Cooperating Churches
Purpose Statement
To spread the good news of Jesus by committing ourselves to work and worship together, to love and care for one another, and to be of value to God in our community.
Belief Statement:
We believe that the Bible is the Holy Spirit-inspired Word of God, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that he calls his church to mission locally and globally.

More about us:
We are four congregations that make up a rural parish in the south eastern part of the Selwyn District of Canterbury, NZ.
Three of our congregations, Leeston, Dunsandel and Brookside, draw people from all walks of life, with a high proportion involved in farming or associated services. Our Brookside congregation has shared use of St. Luke's Anglican Church at Brookside.
One of our congregations, the Lifetouch Fellowship, has a special focus on serving the needs of the Filipino community, many of whom come to work on the dairy farms in the district.
Increasingly, there is an enriching multicultural quality developing throughout the parish.
The Ellesmere Cooperating Parish is accountable to the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches of NZ.
These are our churches:
St David's in Leeston
Trinity Church in Dunsandel
St. Luke's, Brookside
